মানবিক,বিজ্ঞান ও বাণিজ্য বিভাগ থাকছে না ৯ম শ্রেণীতে
২০২৩ সাল থেকে নবম শ্রেণিতে আর কোনো বিভাগ থাকছে না। অর্থাৎ মানবিক, বিজ্ঞান ও বাণিজ্য বিভাগ ছাড়াই পড়াশোনা করতে হবে শিক্ষার্থীদের। পরের বছর থেকে এর আগের স্তরেও বিভাগ উঠে যাচ্ছে।
প্রাথমিক ও মাধ্যমিক স্তরের দশটি বিষয়ের ‘বিষয়ভিত্তিক’ শিক্ষাক্রম চূড়ান্ত করতে লক্ষ্য নির্ধারণ করেছে জাতীয় শিক্ষাক্রম ও পাঠ্যপুস্তক বোর্ড (এনসিটিবি)। আগামী মার্চের মধ্যেই এটি সম্পন্ন করা হবে। সেখানে এ ধরনের পরিকল্পনা চূড়ান্ত করা হয়েছে।
এনসিটিবি সূত্র জানায়, ১০ জন শিক্ষাবিদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত কারিকুলাম ডেভেলপমেন্ট অ্যান্ড রিভিশন কোর কমিটির মতামত ও পরামর্শে নতুন কারিকুলাম প্রণয়ণ হচ্ছে। কমিটির সদস্য অধ্যক্ষ কাজী ফারুক আহম্মেদ বলেন, ‘আমরা পৃথকভাবে মতামত দিয়েছি। বলেছি, মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনার ভিত্তিতে শিক্ষাক্রম হতে হবে। এছাড়া বইয়ের বোঝা কমাতে হবে। করোনার কারণে অনলাইন শিক্ষার প্রয়োজনীয়তাও বেড়েছে।’ এ বিষয়েও মতামত দিয়েছেন বলে জানান তিনি।
জানা গেছে, ২০২২ শিক্ষাবর্ষে প্রাক-প্রাথমিকের পার্ট-২, প্রাথমিকের প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণী এবং মাধ্যমিকের ষষ্ঠ ও সপ্তম শ্রেণীতে নতুন কারিকুলামের বই পাবে শিক্ষার্থীরা। এনসিটিবি সূত্র জানায়, ২০২৩ সাল থেকে নবম শ্রেণী থেকে বিভাগ উঠে যাবে। আর পরের বছর ২০২৪ সাল থেকে মাধ্যমিক স্তর থেকেও বিভাগ তুলে দেওয়া হবে। নতুন কারিকুলামে নবম ও দশম শ্রেণীর শিক্ষার্থীরা একই বই পড়বে। বিজ্ঞান, মানবিক ও ব্যবসায় শিক্ষায় আলাদা বিষয় থাকবে না।
অর্থাৎ অভিন্ন শিক্ষা নিয়েই মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষার স্তর শেষ করতে হবে শিক্ষার্থীদের। একাদশ শ্রেণী থেকে বিভাগ থাকবে। জানা গেছে, ২০২২ সাল থেকে ষষ্ঠ থেকে দশম শ্রেণী পর্যন্ত দশটি বিষয় পড়তে হবে। সেগুলো হলো- বাংলা (ভাষা ও যোগাযোগ), গণিত (গণিত ও যুক্তি), বিজ্ঞান (বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি), তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি (আইসিটি), সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান (সমাজ ও বিশ্ব নাগরিকত্ব), ধর্ম (মূল্যবোধ ও নৈতিকতা), স্বাস্থ্য শিক্ষা ও সুরক্ষা (শারীরিক-মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য), জীবন ও জীবিকা, পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু এবং শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতি। বর্তমান কারিকুলামে ১২ থেকে ১৪টি বই পড়তে হয় তাদের।
দশজন শিক্ষাবিদের মতামতের আলোকে এই ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক চূড়ান্ত করেছে এনসিটিবি। এর আলোকেই নতুন শিক্ষাক্রম হচ্ছে। এর সমন্বয়ের দায়িত্বে আছেন এনসিটিবি সদস্য (শিক্ষাক্রম) প্রফেসর ড. মশিউজ্জামান। তিনি বলেন, ‘মাধ্যমিক স্তরের ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক তৈরির কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। এখন বিষয়ভিত্তিক শিক্ষাক্রম প্রণয়ন করা হচ্ছে।’ এসময় আগামী মার্চের মধ্যেই ‘বিষয়ভিত্তিক’ শিক্ষাক্রম চূড়ান্ত হবে বলে তিনি আশা প্রকাশ করেন।
এ বিষয়ে এনসিটিবির চেয়ারম্যান প্রফেসর নারায়ণ চন্দ্র সাহা গণমাধ্যমকে বলেন, ‘মাধ্যমিকে একই ধারায় ১০টি শিখনক্ষেত্র চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। এগুলো ধারণ করেই নতুন পাঠ্যবই প্রকাশ করা হবে। এতে বইয়ের সংখ্যা কমবে, পাঠ্যক্রম আধুনিকায়ন ও আকর্ষণীয় হবে। শিক্ষার্থীরা যাতে প্রয়োজনীয় সবক্ষেত্রে যোগ্যতা অর্জন করতে পারে সেজন্য স্তরভেদে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কম বা বেশি গুরুত্ব দেয়া হয়েছে।’

Humanities, science and commerce departments are not in 9th class
Since 2023, there is no more division in the ninth class. That means students have to study without humanities, science and commerce departments. The department is also going up to its previous level from next year.
The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has set a target of finalizing ‘subject-based’ curricula in ten subjects at primary and secondary levels. It will be completed by next March. Such plans have been finalized there.
According to NCTB sources, the new curriculum is being formulated with the opinion and advice of the Curriculum Development and Revision Core Committee comprising 10 academics. Chairman Kazi Farooq Ahmed, a member of the committee, said, “We have given our views separately. I have said that the curriculum should be based on the spirit of the liberation war. In addition the burden of the book must be reduced. The need for online education has also increased due to Corona, ”he said.
It is learned that in the 2022 academic year, students will get new curriculum books in pre-primary part-2, first and second class of primary and sixth and seventh class of secondary. According to NCTB sources, the department will move up from the ninth grade from 2023. And from next year 2024, the department will be removed from the secondary level. In the new curriculum, ninth and tenth class students will read the same book. Science, humanities and business education will not have separate subjects.
In other words, students have to complete the level of secondary education with uniform education. There will be sections from class XI. It is known that from 2022, ten subjects will have to be studied from sixth to tenth class. These are: Bengali (Language and Communication), Mathematics (Mathematics and Logic), Science (Science and Technology), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Social Science (Society and Global Citizenship), Religion (Values and Ethics), Health Education And protection (physical-mental health), life and livelihood, environment and climate, and art and culture. They have to read 12 to 14 books in the current curriculum.
The NCTB has finalized this framework in the light of the views of ten academics. The new curriculum is being done in the light of this. NCTB member in charge of the coordination (curriculum) Professor. Moshiuzzaman. He said, ‘The work of creating a framework at the secondary level has been completed. Now the subject-based curriculum is being formulated. ‘He hoped that the’ subject-based ‘curriculum would be finalized by next March.
In this regard, NCTB Chairman Prof. Narayan Chandra Saha told the media, “10 learning areas have been identified in the same section. New textbooks will be published containing these. This will reduce the number of books, modernize the curriculum and make it interesting. In order for the students to be able to qualify in all the necessary fields, more or less importance has been given in different fields. ‘
